Q What is Lycopene?

A Lycopene is a phytochemical which helps reduce risk of prostate cancer. It has been identified as one of the most efficient singlet-oxygen quencher and is found highly in the prostate which its levels are reduced by increasing age. A deficiency in lycopene has been highly linked to a poor prostate condition. (i.e. Prostate cancer & Benign Prostate Hyperplasia).

Q What is Prostate Cancer (PCa)?

A Prostate cancer is a common illness for aging males. It ranks as the most common cancer worldwide among men and in Malaysia is the fourth most common cancer diagnosed. Age has been the strongest predictor for prostate cancer risk, followed by family history. Prostate cancer affects 50-90% of elderly man between 50 and 80 years of age.

Q What is Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)?

A BPH aka enlarged prostate is a common condition in aging males where age is the strongest risk factor. Increased Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) level and Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) (i.e straining to urinate, loss of bladder control, weak stream urgency, nocturia etc) are commonly seen.
